History:
In the beginning Carlo Reveles, Kirk Klingbiel and a few others sat down (or stood up) and decided to write down some music. Over a long period of time, this music has changed. It has been Rocked, Blues’d, Heavy Metal’d, Punk’d, Big Band’d, Shuffle’d, Folk’d, and or played in other context and variations. These songs have true meaning and have developed over many years. They have been recorded in these many variations, some of which have been put on the web.
After making contributions of this music with Carlo in San Leandro and Hayward, the music moved back down to Southern California. Meeting up with Danny Hernandez (Drums) and Playing with Carlo (Guitar) we did manage to lay a few tracks. This is when the name CADAMA came about. It stands for CArlo DAnny MArk.
There were those (mainly one) who considered the name stupid or confusing. Well, they were not artistic and did not even stop to consider the history. Oh well, they are gone now.
Times change and unfortunately being able to work with the music gets more difficult due to time. The thought was to bring in a Vocalist and a Bass player to work on the songs. However; It is usually too much to ask someone working on original music. There was good talent involved however the focus of the music was not shared among all. It was decided that we should forego the original music and move into covers. However; rather than continue on in this fashion, there were some issues and the group dispersed. We are back to the same three people as the core. Carlo, Danny and Mark. Mark has also joined with 8-Track playing covers. Carlo and Danny are still around but the times have made it tougher to get together.
This set was from 2005 The music here are garage recordings with a vocalist named Chris. I do believe that these are the only recordings with him as a singer.
Future:
So with this I am working out some manner to continue working on the music. In the semi near future I will get some of this music in a format for some collaborative editing through the Internet. I hope that Kirk and others would be willing to help in this project. But for now, here are the links to some of the music courtesy of Kirk.
